How Do I Choose the Right Lawn Mower?
Gardening is both a hobby and an important part of our aesthetic environment. Choosing the right tools and machinery to tend to our lawns is necessary to prevent unnecessary frustration and tedious time wasting.
Choosing the right lawn mower depends on the size of the lawn, your budget and your general preference regarding make and model. For very small and wooded areas, a string trimmer may come in handy while for larger areas of half acre or greater measurement, a ride mower may be better. However, a lawn mower is perfect for small areas without many trees or other obstacles and medium sized lawns.
Once you have established that the lawn mower is what you need, you must then decide which one of these numerous brands, makes and models is right for you. One of the main considerations when buying one of these machines is your budget. Once you have that figured out, the next step is to decide whether you want an electric, or petrol powered machine.
There are so many different types of mowers available on the market at the moment it can be difficult at times to know which one to choose. The electric mower tends to be more quiet (about 75 decibels) and can be found in both corded and cordless varieties. The corded variety although, has the restriction provided by its cable which is both a hindrance related to the length of the cord as well as the potential for injury due to electric shock. Petrol operated lawn mowers tend to be more noisy (about 95 decibels) and are air pollutants. They do tend to be more powerful than electric mowers and will cut a larger area before needing to be refueled rather than cordless electric mowers before they need recharging.
Most of these machines are started using a manual pull crank, though push button starters are available on some models. Special features like hover machines and automated robotic models, or a particular color or brand may also play a role in your decision. Enjoy your mower and learn to appreciate it because they are great machines.

Frequently Asked Questions...
Is there any string trimmer on the market that allows you to push a button and advance the line?
Looking for something regardless of type [ie gas/electric/cordless]. Tired of destroying bump heads and "automatic" heads that never feed line.
Answer:
Cheat, replace the line with a piece of steel cable. It'll never break again!
